Christmastime Is Here

Christmastime Is Here

Hello friends – it’s Marshall. We’ve already had our first snows here in Chicago – there’s nothing like the ground being covered in white for the first time. It sets a scene. One that seems to welcome Advent – the anticipation of the Messiah’s birth. Our Hope realized. “God and sinners reconciled!” And with it too, the songs we’ve sung since childhood and have waited a year to sing again. I have spent the last few months preparing two new projects that many of you have helped me put together. One of them, Christmas, is finished! I think it has turned out beautifully. We are still waiting for the CDs to arrive at the house, but I wanted to make it available as a download immediately – it will be a wonderful addition to your family’s Christmas soundtrack. I can’t wait for you to hear it, and to let the message of God’s faithfulness ring in your home. Click here. Blessings and Peace – Marshall   Kickstarter backers have already received an email with a download link for the project. Thank you!...

Kickstarter Campaign A Success!

After 33 days and pledges from 277 generous supporters, the Kickstarter campaign for Marshall’s new album was completely funded! The amount raised exceeded the proposed budget by a large enough margin, that there are plans for a new Christmas project as well. From Kickstarter: “Folks, I can’t tell you how thankful and grateful I am to you. Your generosity and excitement towards this project have just overwhelmed me. I am humbled. I feel encouraged and supported – your words along the way have really bolstered me. I can’t wait to get to work on these two projects!” – Marshall Hall The main release is slated for October, while the Christmas project release date is currently being...

New Album Update

Hello Friends, Two weeks ago we started something a little unconventional. The plan was to create a new recording, but this time have it be supported by those who love the music and connect with the message. I am happy to say that we are doing very well! The new project has already met its budgeting goal, and we are continuing to press forward into funding a new Christmas project AND Hymns project with this campaign! I am so incredibly thankful to everyone for their generosity, kindness, and support – this has been a major team effort! I am humbled by the sweet messages and notes I’ve received, and I’ve made some new friends along the way too – so cool! We have 17 days to go, and we’re not slowing down. This is our opportunity to get more music out there that can change lives. If you haven’t yet pledged your support, click here to learn more about the story and heart behind the project, and to support music you believe...

I’m Recording A New Album And I Need Your Help!

Hello friends! I’m finally recording a new collection of songs, and I need YOUR help to make it a reality. I want YOU to be my record company. Yes? YES!! I’m really excited about this – not only to send some new music out into the world again, but also to be able to share the process, planning, and experience with you. If you are interested in supporting the project, or learning more about it, please check it out here. I’m launching this campaign through Kickstarter, a company that was created as a way for people to support projects they believe in. It works by YOU choosing between many different pledge amounts, each of which have different awards attached to them that I will send you. Ranging anywhere from a download of the new project, to behind the scenes videos, all the way to me coming to you and performing a concert. I will continually update what’s happening with the record on Kickstarter to keep you constantly in the know. It’s really fun, and a great way to connect to artists and music you want to support. This will be my first recording in five years, and I believe in it! I have been learning so many amazing things about grace, and how God shows Himself in the ordinary and the everyday. I can’t wait for you to hear it – let’s do this together! Click here and check out the...

Norwegian Fall Tour

I’ve developed quite a fondness for the country of Norway over the past several years, and I’m happy to say that I’m ironing out the last details for a short tour there in the fall! I’ve developed some wonderful friendships over the last several years, and many of those are with the singers of the HIM choir, under the direction of Oystein Lund Olafson. We will be hitting the road together for several dates later this year. HIM is an excellent and powerful ensemble, having performed with some of the world’s greatest pop and gospel artists, and at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies more than once. My good friend, Oystein, is an amazing pianist, organist, accordion player – if it’s got keys, Oystein knows his way around it. This is going to be a great series of events – I can’t wait to worship with the fine people of Norway again...
